"Ungrateful Guest" Rewrite

In the city of Los Angeles, there was a brave cop who worked for he LAPD. He wasn't a very high rank, but the chief thought highly of him. One day he and his partner were responding to a domestic disturbance in a shady neighborhood. The perp had a 12 gauge shotgun aimed straight at the officer, and BOOM! the officer was shot in the shoulder and was lucky he lived. He woke up in the hospital and was treated by a doctor who was related to the perp. After a few months of physical therapy he was ready to get back into action. He told the chief a lie about the doctor that was related to the perp and wanted to arrest him. the chief believed him and called the doctor for questioning. On the day of the doctor's trial, he was proven not-guilty, and the chief found out about the relationship between the doctor, and the perp. He later then arrested the police officer and kicked him off the force. Because he lied to his superior officer, he got a criminal record and went to jail.
